Deckers Europe recruits Urban Outfitters global president

Stephen Murray, who stepped down from his position as president of VF Action Sports last year in order to join Urban Outfitters as its global president, is taking on a new challenge once again.

The executive is now crossing the Atlantic in order to assume his new role at Deckers of President of Europe, Middle East and Africa. Murray will work from Deckers England office in Richmond where the EMEA division is located.

Deckers Outdoor Corporation had revised its organisation during its previous fiscal year in order to distribute its products directly from its subsidiary in Holland to its wholesale clients from the UK, Benelux and France.

The American group registered sales of over 1 billion dollars in 2010, driven by its flagship brand Ugg Australia. Its other brands include Teva, Simple, Tsubo, Mozo and Ahnu.
