Original Penguin launches first denim line

Original Penguin had previously made its name in the Unites States with its famous golf shirts. Embodying a preppy style, the brand was then relaunched in 2000 by the American group Perry Ellis, after it was purchased by the latter in 1996.

Offering a variety of products for men, women and children, Original Penguin’s collections include a wide selection of polo shirts and t-shirts, but also jackets, trousers, shoes and even swimsuits. Now, for this year’s Fall/Winter season, the brand is going to launch a denim line, with a promotional film expected to come out around July.

In the United States, Original Penguin is most notably sold at Urban Outfitters stores, but also at Saks, Macy’s and Nordstrom. As for Europe, the label has one flagship store in London, while in France it is sold in multibrand stores but also via mail order companies such as La Redoute.
